Hi,
Anyone who can tell me, what this is?
Thanks Bo

Hi Bo,

never seen this part before. Could it be a GPS-mouse plus receiver? Red and black cables for 12V DC power supply input, and there should be a signal output interface.

Regards
Frank

Yes, could be!
Thanks

Salty

Further to fjoe's reply no. 1, it is possibly a rather elderly remote tracking device that could be connected to via a cellular mobile phone signal. For sure the smaller black box with the bevelled edges is a GPS mouse which at one time probably had a disc shaped magnet fitted so that it could, for example, be placed on a car roof in the days when car roofs were made from sheet steel rather than plastic.

Thanks,  much appreciated, Bo

Yes, it is a GPS tracker.  Usually fitted by charter companies so they can keep an eye on where their boats are.

I would have guessed it was an XM Radio (Sirius) antenna and receiver module for the stereo.

It is a GPS tracker, but the small box with bevelled edges which looks like a GPS antenna is actually the 12v power supply unit.
