Hey everyone -  Trying to install some new faucets on the boat and I need the attached brass fitting. Since we live in the US, access to these fittings locally are tough to come by.  We recently purchased two new faucets for the boat that require a brass adaptor with an 18mm male end and a smooth 15mm end to connect to the Whale. The current brass adaptor is 19mm threaded and 15 mm connecting to the Whale.  Does anyone recommend a place where I can order these online?  I tried the Whale website but no luck. Thank you very much!

You have to figure out which kind of thread type von have on your faucets. Usually they are'nt metric, but BSP, NPT or something else. Maybe you can order whale fittings on amazon. You can also use an adaptor fitting from your present Whale fitting to the new faucet thread.

The whale system is 15mm, so you probably have a 3/8" or 1/2" BSP to 15mm tube fitting. Check BSP size from below table or look for stampings on the existing fitting to confirm.

Widely available from any European chandlery or plumbing supplier. Couple example links (you'll have to check which ones ship to US if you can't find one there, which you probably can):

If your new tap is from the US, you need to check if it has BSP or NPT and buy the right adapter.

There are also adapters that go directly on the whale hose with the threaded fitting on the other side, so you don't need two pieces on there.

Thanks Yngmar - so these don't have to be brass right???

Doesn't matter if they're plastic or brass, either will work fine here. Although plastic does have some slight advantages :)
