Bavaria 34 Compass

Morning all 

We've got a 1999 Bavaria 34 with the original Suunto compass which has reached it's end of life. Am looking at replacing it with (possibly) a Silva 125FTC...
I've seen a few posts on here with others who have changed out the original compass, but I can't see that anyone's done it on a Bav 34.

Has anyone done this?

All models from that era used the same compass, so it is not 34 specific. I replaced the one on my 2001 37 with a Danforth because that is what was available in the right size where I was located at the time. The basic size was the same but the hole spacing for the fixing screws was different so needed new holes. Otherwise straightforward swap.

I changed the compass on my 2000 B36 a couple of years ago with a Plastimo Olympic 115 which uses the same size hole and if I recall correctly the same screw hole positions.
