Where to connect inverter

Previous owner connect inverter (600W) direct on batteries, it seems to me that is not good solution, because inverter bypasses fuse and main switch.

What is your recommendation?

My idea is connect inverter after main switch, I hope to find a main positive busbar where I can connect.

Indeed, ours are about 300mm max. We also fitted a high load isolator on the +ve lead..

I understand that with length resistance rise, but with appropriate diameter of wire resistance and consequently voltage drop is negligible. BTW my inverter is medium requirements.

My question is where is point to connect inverter.

Wherever you install it, include an appropriately sized fuse as close to the battery as possible.

Mine (350w) is wired to one of the auxiliary switches on the DC distribution panel.

I make that about 28/29Amps (max). I think all ours are rated at 10 & 15Amps each but I may be wrong...Bill

I have a 1600w inverter conneted to 12dc just after the main fuse. The inverter have Owen fuse and breaker. Works perfect

Yes it is one option, i definitely don't want to connect before the main fuse.

Does anyone know if Bavaria 2003y has any main positive busbar, and how to reach it.

would it be possible to wire it across 24v of house battery's with its own fuse and switch, would draw less amps through the wiring (assuming you are fitting a larger wattage inverter) ?

Usually Bavarias only have a negative busbar. If you attach a cable lug to the +-connection of your inverter, you should be able to attach it to the switched side of your main switch.
I connected my inverter(1500W/ 150A) with a separate circuit breaker to avoid longer cabling, see picture
