ANTREVELL

I take delivery of a new Bavaria 33 in the new year.
Can anyone please advise what I should expect to pay with regards insurance and any recommendations regarding insurance companies.

Depends on where you want to sail it amongst other things, lots of companies out there but I went with Pantaenius as they were the only ones to cover me from UK to Cyprus as I sailed the bout out to Greece. Reasonably priced as well.

Yachtline (UK) have been good to me (2 large boats insured with them).

Ripster

Worth trying GJW.  I am with them for a 2011 Bav 36.  But, I only sail in the English Channel.   What I can say is that they handled a small claim (weather related) very fairly and I saw no great increase in premium at renewal.

Try Yachtmaster in the UK. They've insured us for offshore sailing for circumnavigation from UK to Hawaii so far. Covered us for the Red Sea and all extreme areas including New Zealand and Pacific. No area they don't cover.

I am with Bishop Skinner. I am very pleased with their  service. They dealt with a claim after I lost my propeller with no fuss. They were really helpful. You do have to be a member of the RYA but the pemium was very reasonable and the cruising area took me from river Medway to 30 degrees East in the Mediterranean. From memory the premium was about £430 for a bav 38
