Hi, this is my first post, started sailing only recently, I have purchased a bav30 and would like to know if the perspex washboards are supposed to be stored on the top sliding Perspex hatch, I've sailed a bav37 of similar year and they fit, but in the Bavaria 30 they don't ( to tight) it may be that the roof above is warped maybe, or they are just not meant to be stored there when not in use. Any advice would be appreciated.

Surprised you had them stored on the sliding hatch for the B37 as there is bespoke storage (slots) in aft cabin on mine. Not sure about the B30 - have a look around. Having them on top of the sliding hatch will likely induce scratching.

OK here goes, my bav 30 had the 2 section panels stored below the cart table. The previous owner made some hardwood blocks and screwed them as most larger bavarias section but with the 2 slots cut. So they are screwed to the side chart table below the hole for the battery charger. You will need a wooden toogle to rotate , so one side rotates onto the side of glass. if you need things explained clearer ring me 07931736582.

Thanks for all the advise guys, my main concern was that something was wrong with the top slide hatch option of storage, now I understand this is not norm. Thanks again.

Ray, any chance of a couple of photos? Washboard stowage is one of those projects I am planning when I get a round tuit. It might be easier to see what someone has done successfully than to attempt to design from scratch.
