Hi
Had the dreaded diesel bug and had to clean tank out as much as I could.  Have refilled tank but guess there will be air in system.  What is the best wayto pull fuel through and bleed.  It normally starts no issues on changing filters but this time have also emptied tank and refilled.  Boat launch tomorrow and starting engine tonight so any advise in advance appreciated.
Cut a nice hole in tank to help me clean and fitted hatch/seal so will post this later to help others...was very easy.
Thanks

I'd assume fuel to be running to the engine all by itself if the tank is full. If not, give it a good suck :)
Then just prime as usual. I don't see need for any additional procedures.

Best to suck through with a oil change pump, be very interested to hear about your tank hatch.

Yes will be starting as usual so will see how it goes, never had to use lift pump lever in the past as normally starts after filter change with turn of the key...just trying to pre-emt the bleed procedure as not at boat till later. .  Guess there will be bleed points at each filter top.

open bleed screw on top  of filter, pump till fuel comes out without air. do this on primary then fine filters. then start as normal, if it wont start then air may have got to the injectors, if this happens then loosen the injector pipes at the injector end of each pipe, crank the engine till fuel comes out of the pipes, re fasten them and crank the engine to start.

Started with the turn of the key surprisingly but thanks!!
