Bavaria Hatch Lids

I am trying to replace the lens in the large Lewmar hatch. The trouble I have is separating the 2 halves. Does anyone have any tricks for separating the frame halves?

Undo the screws on the lower side of the lid. Wet the rubber seals with soap water.Try to hammer the frame gently with a soft piece of wood

Thanks, I will try this. One side came loose straight away so I will soak the other side in soapy water. I think there is a salt buildup in the joiner. Hopefully it will work.
