Hi

Mine is a 2001 40, single helm, I can supply my wheel measurements for you this weekend if you think it will help.

If it's a Lewmar wheel this is probably the size:

I went with the 40" with the 1" tapered hub. lets hope its right, I will let you all know how it fits for future reference as I couldn't find it anywhere else online.

Diameter should at least be right.

My 2001 B40 had originally 36in wheel and is now upgraded to 40in with the cost of bench lockers bending slightly against the wheel when opening them. Maybe same vintage B42 should have a bit wider cockpit enabling direct fit with 40in wheel?

Shouldn't the hubs be pretty much standard size for all wheels? The same keyed taper?

The wheels are standard Lewmar items available in a range of sizes, all with the same hub fittings.

I sold the original wheel off my bav39 when I got a folding wheel which I now remove when leaving the boat for any long periods, as it's an attractive item for thieves - wouldn't have expected a standard wheel to be nicked!
